About Us

Each Meetup has a different theme, which is crowdsourced from the network according to their needs. We then source inspiring speakers to share their knowledge and experience with participants using plenty of interaction and practical examples. Read more about who attends and testimonials.

Introverts, junior staff members and the least experienced can have as much of a voice and opportunity to meet others as chatty extroverts and CEO’s. Anyone with a professional connection to the charity sector, from frontline operations to fundraisers, freelancers and strategy consultants are welcome to attend this enjoyable and relaxed event.

The event has a good mix of participants including people from different parts of the charity sector including fundraisers, marketers, consultants, in-house staff, freelancers, agencies and we hope that this will continue with the future events.

MEET THE TEAM

Dawn Newton

Founder

After attending many events Dawn noticed that there was so much knowledge in the room but we would only ever hear from a handful of speakers. She struggled to network in the short breaks events offered and set out to create a different kind of charity event, centred around supporting people to connect with one another in a meaningful way.

Vicky Kangurs

Birmingham Host

Based in Worcestershire, Vicky’s business is called Tabby Tiger. She offers copywriting and social media services to small business owners and charities who love what they do and put people and the planet above profits. She is also a columnist and team member for SOCIALight, a magazine written for businesswomen.

Hope Drew

Birmingham Host

Hope is the Head of Media at Colonel Duck, a Birmingham Software and Creative Agency. She has worked with charities to run national campaigns and develop engaging creative media. Hope also has her own freelancing business tailored to creating digital media, such as videos and graphics, for smaller businesses and charities.

We host interactive sessions such as talks, workshops and to group discussions help you create new partnerships.
